SUMMARY

The Malta Permanent Residence Permit (MPRP) offers affluent people the opportunity to reside /stay or settle in Malta by Investing in the country. These investments are primarily investments into Real Estates in Malta.

The individuals have the opportunity to either make an outright purchase or rent a property to key into the program. The program allows not just the main applicant but also the dependents of the main applicant which could include parents, grandparents, (of the main applicant or the spouse) , the spouse in a marriage or (relationship akin to a marriage) once they are able to show that they are economically dependent on the primary applicant.

  • The applicants and dependents gets a residency card/certificate after approval.
  • The residency card/certificate last for five (5) years after which it should be renewed, to renew the client must have a residential property address.
  • The process takes between four (4) – Six (6) months for completion, however there is a maximum timeframe of eight (8) months for it to be completed.
  • The investments are either outright purchase or rental payments. (The mode of rental payments would be agreed with the landlord in the lease agreement)
  • The qualifying property needs to be held for five (5) years from the date of issuance of the residence certificate.
  • Before the letter of approval (for the residence certificate) the client must show FIT & PROPER TEST –(Clean criminal record), FINANCIAL RESOURCES & CAPITAL AND GOOD HEALTH –(Clean health, Non-contagious diseases & each member must posses travel health .
  • After the letter of approval, the client make the property purchase/rental, monetary contribution & donation.
  • The residence card/certificate is issued 2-4 weeks after letter of approval.
  • Access to national health services.
  • Processing time for you & your family within four (4) – Six (6) months.
  • Performance of any work activity as an independent professional.
  • Persons under the age of 21 may attend both state & private institutions.
  • Travel freely to any of the Schengen Countries (26 Countries).
  • Malta is ranked 7th in global ranking of passport strength and visa free access to 187 Countries (Including Canada & US(– ETA), United Kingdom, All of Schengen Community.
